Introducing the New England Auto Dealer Hall of Fame
We’re proud to announce the launch of the New England Auto Dealer Hall of Fame, a new regional initiative created to recognize the people and dealership enterprises that have shaped automotive retail across New England.
For more than a century, new-car dealers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine have played a central role in their communities—often as family businesses, multi-generation operations, and long-standing local institutions. The Hall of Fame exists to formally acknowledge that impact and preserve those stories before they fade from view.
This is not a sales award or a popularity contest. Inductees are selected based on documented history, leadership, longevity, market influence, and community involvement. The Hall of Fame will recognize both active and legacy dealerships, including historic dealer names that may no longer be on the building but still matter to their markets and to the industry.
The project will launch with a carefully curated Founding Class, followed by limited, ongoing inductions to ensure the recognition remains meaningful and credible over time. Each inductee will receive a permanent profile detailing their history and contribution to New England automotive retail.
This site serves as an introduction to the initiative. Full details on the mission, criteria, selection process, and upcoming announcements can be found on the official New England Auto Dealer Hall of Fame website, which we invite you to explore.
The work is underway—and this is just the beginning.
